Admissions :- Entry in various trades of ITIs is done every year in August. The admission process is initiated before the start of the new session. The session under this scheme starts from 1 August. Admission to ITI under NCVT guidelines is done on the basis of merit based / written test. Admission to private ITIs is done directly.

Apprenticeship Training Scheme :- 

After completing ITI, tradesmen can receive apprenticeship training in various industries. The scheme has been implemented by the Directorate General of Training under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship with the objective that “training in institutions alone is not sufficient for skill acquisition and needs to be supplemented by training in the actual work space. ”

The period for apprenticeship training is generally one year for those appearing in the ITI final exam, i.e. AITT. It usually takes three years for freshers. During the training, stipends are given to the trainees on a monthly basis.
